「如一切眾生父母」（第236頁第8行）

宗喀巴大師在說明發心勝利時有一段引用和說明：「『雖作小福，亦能出生無邊大果，故為福田，一切世間悉應依止，猶如大地。』謂如一切眾生父母。」
Lhundub Sopa格西的注釋中相關的說明是：「Those who have bodhicitta are a field producing merit for others. … So even small virtuous actions, such as a little gift given to someone with bodhicitta, yield enormous merit.」（第3冊第165頁第34行）「Someone with bodhicitta is like the father of all other sentient beings because he or she lovingly devotes all his time and energy to caring for others.」（第3冊第165頁第40行）從這些說明可以看出來，有菩提心的人之所以像福田、大地，是因為他對他造作的微小善業，也會到很大的果報。而其之所以如眾生的父母，是因為他全心全力利益其他有情。
